The design of the retail space LEFT is an investigation of interior design as a piece of integrated urban artwork. The impact of such a design on the streetscape and local context of Fitzroy creates a dynamic juxtaposition between public and private thresholds and examines how the interior of a building can have a significant influence on the future urban, social and economic make up of a precinct.
The design of LEFT exposes the raw elements of an existing interior and inlays elements that compliment and highlight these components and their attributes. The aim was to draw on the heritage aspects of the existing structure and expose them to the street by the insertion of a series of key elements that capture attention, are unique and functional, adaptable and flexible and most importantly innovative.

I walked past this shop few months ago and couldn’t help but gazed in.
It was a beautiful space.
