Introducing Grid Glass by Axolotl

Share

Stained glass windows have been used for centuries, and now, hundreds of years later, they have been reimagined in modern designs created by architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright.

Modern technology developed in-house by Axolotl offers a contemporary spin on a traditional aesthetic and unlimited potential in customisation.

In an era where clean lines and tailored spaces reign supreme, Axolotl’s Grid Glass emerges as the epitome of refined elegance, offering a modern interpretation of a classic art form.

The beauty of Axolotl Grid Glass lies not only in its visual appeal but also in its versatility. Whether it’s a combination of etching, carving, kiln forming or 3D printing, designers can leverage Axolotl’s diverse range of processes to bring their vision to life in stunning detail.

From bespoke in linework, metal finish, glass texture, glass colour and options for framed and frameless, the potential for Axolotl Grid Glass is limited only by a designer’s imagination and is suitable for all projects across residential, hotel, hospitality and commercial disciplines.

The Axolotl team works collaboratively with designers to create bespoke pieces entirely in-house. Their in-house capabilities include carving the grid pattern into the face of the glass and inlaying a range of metals into the glass itself. The result is a fully realised art glass pane, ready to install.

Unlike traditional stained glass windows or metal-framed screens, Axolotl Grid Glass is available in expansive panel sizes up to 3000 x 1800mm, with glass thicknesses ranging from 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and even up to 15mm thick.

Additionally, it’s possible to incorporate cutouts for hardware or finger pulls into the Grid Glass itself. It can also be toughened or laminated to Australian Standards depending on specific use case needs and requirements.

Any pane of glass, be it a fixed window, screen or door, can be transformed into a translucent, bespoke artwork.

A selection of Grid Glass samples can be viewed in the Axolotl showroom in Matraville, and custom samples can be manufactured and purchased to order. Visit Axolotl to learn more
